Rainaldo Morris, of Stamford, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 20, on a warrant stemming from an incident that happened in October, the Darien Police Department reported.

Officers responded to Post Road near Brookside Road for a report of an altercation on a public transportation bus at about 7:40 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21.

The victim said Morris attacked him randomly, and he was not sure why, authorities reported.

Police said the victim suffered lacerations and abrasions to his face and was taken to a hospital.

A witness said Morris got on the bus and was "acting out of the norm," and then Morris began attacking the victim, police reported.

Morris was reportedly uncooperative when speaking to officers and spat at them, police said.

Authorities said Morris was taken to a hospital, and an arrest warrant was approved on Monday, Dec. 19.

Morris was processed for charges of second-degree assault and breach of peace, police said.
